If you are interested in putting hands and feet to your love for Israel you’re at the right place! We are looking for willing hands and hearts to serve. If that’s you, read on, we’ve got a place for you!

Who should come?

HaYovel is all about family order and proper authority. Just as much as we need physically strong workers, we also need elders for wisdom and grounding and homemakers to keep things running smoothly. We encourage families to come together if possible.

What should I expect?

Come expecting to be challenged and inspired! Flexibility and a heart to humbly serve are prerequisites. You will live in close community with other volunteers. In addition to the awesome privilege of working in the soil of Israel, on days we are not working in the vineyards or resting you will get to tour. Most tours focus on Biblical sites related to God’s covenants and hearing from Israelis who have devoted their lives to the restoration of the land.

Our two main opportunities to serve occur twice a year, as follows:
1.) Spring 2012 (2 week trip, Feb 1 – 15) (3 week trip, Feb. 13 – March 5) & (6 week trip Feb. 1- March 14) This is a Men’s Pruning Trip – sorry, ladies – you’ll have to wait for the harvest!
2.) Fall 2012 (3-12 weeks in September-November) – Harvest Trip – this one’s for everybody!

 

Where do I sign up?

The first thing you need to do is request an application form using the form below. An application is necessary for each trip. If you sent in an application for a previous trip you still need to fill out and send in a new application.

The application process involves:
1.) Requesting an Application for each prospective Vinedresser (fill out the form below to request one!)
2.) Submitting an Application BY THE DEADLINE (CLICK HERE to sign up to receive email updates, so you are informed of upcoming application deadlines!)
3.) A phone/Skype interview with staff (you will be contacted for this interview after we receive your application)
4.) Approval from staff to purchase your airline tickets FOR OUR APPROVED DATES. (Go ahead and check prices from your area, but DON’T purchase until you receive word from us that you are cleared!)”
