Pruning

summer-groupWhat is the Summer Trip?

Here’s a what you can expect as a Summer Trip volunteer:

  • Assist in a variety of volunteer work in the vineyards and other agriculture in Samaria and Judea. These may include (but are not limited to): planting, white grape harvest, cleaning vineyards of rocks and weeds, fence repair, and more. This is a new trip, so there are many different kinds of volunteer opportunities possible. Come prepared to serve in many different areas!
  • Meet many local Israelis, hear their stories, and be educated about the reality of living in Israel.
  • Tour approximately two days out of every week in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.
  • Experience an Israeli-style Shabbat (sabbath) every Saturday.

Who Should Come?

Everyone! HaYovel appreciates family order and proper authority structure. Just as much as we need physically strong workers, we also need elders for wisdom and grounding and homemakers to keep things running smoothly. We encourage families to come together!

Physical Expectations: The Summer Trip requires a good deal of walking, bending, and squatting (lots of squatting while planting vines). May include moving rocks. (The men can take care of this one, ladies!)

NOTE: If you are considering joining us in Israel, you need to get (or update) your passport NOW!
Your passport must be valid for at least 12 months from your date of arrival in Israel.
